LG Electronics teased reporters about initiatives its taking to further expand its interactive online features found in their Blu-ray players

LG today teased reporters at CES about its plans to update their line of Blu-ray players. LG didn't disclose any technical specifications but rather said they should have significantly expanded online features beyond the existing CinemaNow, Netflix, Pandora and YouTube options.

This update will let users download movies and music and create their own media library searchable by metadata like the album name. Existing players already have built-in Wi-Fi and support BD-Live in addition to the Internet-only content.
