Blu-Ray Disc Just Got Cheaper

Mitsubishi and Pioneer have figured out a way to significantly reduce media manufacturing cost
While the HD-DVD people are busy trying to enlarge the capacity of their disc's, Blu-Ray has been experimenting with ways to make them more affordable and reliable.

Through the use of organic dye in the recording layer, it will lower manufacturing and material cost considerably.

As of right now though, there isn't a massive amount of devices out that support these disc's yet.
