The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 25th August 2012 is in. Despite 7 of the top 10 being new releases, 6 of those Disney releases, it was still Lionsgate's The Hunger Games that dominated the sales charts. The Dictator was the week's best selling new Blu-ray release (and the only one that wasn't Disney).
Even with all the new releases, The Hunger Games was still largely responsible for setting the tone for the week, with disc sales and Blu-ray market share actually both dropping compared to last week.
