Google plans to allow users to skip YouTube ads starting later this year in hopes to force companies to make better quality ads

Google plans to allow users to skip YouTube ads starting later this year in hopes to force companies to make better quality ads.

Google research shows that user's viewing of an ad varies dramatically based on the quality of the ad.

I think their best bet is going to be to keep the ads but allow the users to select what kind of ads they see.
