According to a study by Comcast, one third of HDTV owners watch only standard definition on their high definition TV

A large percentage of HDTV owners thought by getting a HDTV, they would instantly receive a "High Definition" picture straight out of the box.  They never called to get high definition service from the cable or satellite provider.

Comcast is out to correct that problem by offering a gift card to purchase for $5 to $5,000 so that you can give the gift of HD as a Christmas present.  HDTV sales in general are up fifty percent and Comcast hopes to cash in on the uninformed.
