Verizon has finished its 1Gbps trial on its fiber-optic FiOS network, which fast enough to support 3D HD streaming.

The trial was conducted mainly for the purpose to show that their FiOS equipment can support higher bandwidth including 1Gbps, without major modifications to the network itself.

Best of all, the customer’s existing FiOS service will not degrade in any way with the new speeds whether it be voice, data or video.
