Gamestop will no longer carry the Zune MP3 player lineup and has already removed stocked players from its stores.  However it will continue selling the Zune through its website until there are none left in stock.

The reason for the decision is quite simple.  If its not what the public wants, why carry it?  Microsoft has sold about 2 million Zunes since its launch in 2006.

Apple sold 10.6 million iPods in just the first 3 months of this year.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist!
