Sony has announced that it will be introducing 3D Blu-ray support for the PlayStation 3 with the consoles next system firmware update.

The 38 million lucky PS3 owners will receive the firmware update, version 3.50, starting tomorrow the 21st.

As with every firmware update, it usually causes more harm than good so I expect to see another firmware update from Sony soon to follow this one to fix what it broke.
