Intel Pays AMD $1.25 Billion

AMD announced today that it has received the $1.25 billion settlement payment from Intel over various antitrust and

AMD announced today that it has received the $1.25 billion settlement payment from Intel over various antitrust and patent disputes.

Both companies have also decided to exchange patent rights as part of a five-year cross-license agreement. 

Although Intel has come clean with its rival chip maker, AMD, its still in hot water with NVIDIA.  It is reported that Intel still faces a hefty $1.45 billion fine in Europe and potential consequences of a New York antitrust case.
