Sony Announces Two 400 Blu-ray Disc Changers

Sony has come out with two new 400 disc Blu-ray changers

Today the company announced not one, but two Blu-ray versions of the mega changer that will hold up to 400 Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs.

The models are the BDP-CX960, which will run about $800 and come out in the fall, and the BDP-CX7000ES that’s part of Sony’s “Elevated Standard” series and will be out in August for about $1,900.

The general specs are:

  • Standard-definition upscaling to 1080p, via Sony’s Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology
  • Full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema
  • 7.1-channel Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio
  • Formats ranging from BD-ROM/R/RE, DVD-+ Video/R/RW, CD/R/RW and MP3/JPEG on BD/DVD/CD recordable media
  • Deep Color (xvYCC)
