Self Destructing DVD's at Staples

These self destructing DVD's will only be good to watch 48 hours after removing them from their sealed package.

They will be anywhere from $4 to 6$ dollars for each one.  If I recall correctly, Flexplay has already tried something similar to this and it just didn't take off.

What really doesn't make sense though is, why put them in a "Office Supply" store?

This Sony device (actually made by Sony & NEC Optiarc) will record single layer DVD's in under 5 minutes, as well as other improved times for DL and RW disc's Worlds Fastest DVD Recorder
