Part of the big announcement was about how these up and coming games would take full advantage of the PlayStation Network.  The PlayStation Network has about 8 million users, its still no where near the XBOX Live service.

Sony also plans to release about 15 games between now and the beginning of 2009.  The PS3 titles revealed include SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Confrontation, the oft-previewed LittleBigPlanet, NBA 09 (also releasing for the PS2 and PSP), MotorStorm Pacific Rift, and the highly anticipated Killzone 2.
