Steve Jobs recently made a comment that a VoIP client for the iPhone could be coming soon. During the launch of the much anticipated SDK for the iPhone, Jobs made the comment that Apple would not block third party developers from creating VoIP solutions for the iPhone.

VoIP over a Wi-Fi network is coming sooner than you think. SightSpeed, the first company to step to the plate and say they are interested in creating VoIP software for the iPhone, say they are looking into the SDK as we speak.
