Comcast, like several others, is jumping on board the VOD (Video on Demand) bandwagon and making more movies available to you in VOD, so that you can watch it before you actually receive the DVD you purchased.

First called "Project Infinity", its aims to expedite delivery of top Hollywood movies, network and cable TV series in high-definition to its 24 million subscribers.

Comcast plans to have 1,000 on-demand HD movies by the end of 2008.
