TiVo takes Dish Network to court of their DVR and patent infringement and could possibly have DVR's cutoff from service
TiVo was awarded $89.6 million due to patent infringement on the time warping system, we call TiVo / DVR. The court also left open the possibility that they could receive additional damages based on the time that has elapsed since the original verdict and today's ruling.

Probably the most detrimental news is that Dish Network could be forced to stop selling all DVR's and disable the functionality on DVR's already in customer homes.
