YouTube has a new ad format called TrueView that lets viewers skip over ads after viewing for more than 5 seconds.  Advertisers are ok with this because they don't have to pay for a view if the ad is skipped.

This new feature will also give users the option of three different kind of ads, which could be more effective, although I see alot of "skipping" going on.
