Cablevision is developing a video application that will allow Live TV and VOD to be streamed to subscribers to view on broadband-connected devices such as the iPad, smartphones, and other electronics.

“When you look at an iPad, and you are in a Cablevision household, you’ll be able to get every service we provide -- VOD, broadcast television, all of our expanded basic services. Everything that is part of our cable television service"

There are similar services from Comcast and others which allow subscribers access to to limited or premium content from remote locations, but Cablevision subscribers will get access to all programming but only from home.

An interactive program guide that will run on iPads, iPhones, Android phones, and PCs, is in development and should be coming soon that will allow customers to navigate content just like on your TV.
