Since 2004 legal battles between the two companies have dragged out declaring winners back and fourth but soon one company shall prevail.
A while back TiVo thought they had won once and for all but, due to the US Federal Courts of Apple, it seems that victory is going to be taken away.
The reversal will cancel out as much as $300 million in awards after Dish/Echostar were found in guilt of shipping products that presumably violate TiVo's patents.
Dish has made the statement that they will agree to redesign their DVRs to work around TiVo's patents should TiVo ultimately win in court.
