Rumors are circulating that Redbox, one of the leading DVD rental kiosks, is in talks with video game providers to add video game rentals to its kiosk machines.
"We are talking early and often with the content providers of games so that we start out with a much better understanding of what we're doing."
Redbox will probably charge around $2 a day, which seems fair, but you have to remember most games released these days take on the average 7 to 8 hours of constant game play to complete.
Even if you have the game for three days and then decide "its not your bag", your only out $6 rather than the $40 to $60 after you buy it.
