Apple, Inc. has released its Apple TV 3.0 update with a revamped menu for widescreen TVS and offers iTunes Extras, iTunes LP, Genius Mixes, and Internet radio.

Apple hopes the changes will help it compete in the video-on-TV market against Netflix and others, but Apple TV 3.0 has lower resolution and is focused on delivering iTunes content.
