LG debuted its new LH90 series of 1080p LCD HDTVs featuring LED backlighting and THX Display Certification

THX display certification is designed to set a single benchmark for display performance.

THX has two primary goals:

  1. To drive quality in manufacturing
  2. To help simplify your buying decisions. Having a single testing methodology and specification enables display manufacturers to standardize on a benchmark that is recognized by both industry insiders and consumers like you.

The LH90 series, which are the first-ever to boast THX certification, also feature an ambient light sensor, 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 240Hz dejudder technology and a super glossy bezel.

The LH90 series includes a 42-inch screen for $1,900, a 47-inch variant for $2,400 and a 55-inch model for $3,200.
