In Europe, Sony launched a free video on demand music service for PlayStation 3 today.

The VOD service, named VidZone, is an application that is downloadable from the PlayStation Store, after which it will be appear under the music icon on the PS3’s XMB interface.

PS3 users in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, German, Spain and Australia will be able to stream videos and live concert videos, as well as create a video library and playlists.

Just FYI, this is a totally different service than the current PSN service they have now which lets you buy and rent movies.
