MPAA Drops Half the Charges

The prosecution has unexpectedly dropped half of the charges against PirateBay's operators after apparently misunderstanding the technology behind it. 

Right now the "operators" of the PirateBay website are longer accused of producing copyrighted material.

PirateBay isn't necessarily out of the woods now because prosecutors are still going to try and prove they are liable for linking to other torrent sites.
