The Google owned video site plans to offer a selection of its videos to view offline

The Google-owned video site will offer video creators a Creative Commons license that allows people to reuse downloaded content under certain conditions.

The creators can also choose to offer their video downloads for free or for a fee.  YouTube is hoping this type of feature will be useful for people like university teachers and students who want to share research or lectures.
