Pioneer Stops Producing Laserdisc

Pioneer has ceased production of all Laserdisc players to put one more nail in the coffin

Although the format never really picked up in the first place, Pioneer continued to produce laser disc players for the old school theater buffs. As of right now Pioneer will not make anymore stand alone Laserdisc players.

You can still get the Laserdisc, DVD, CD combo player for right under a $1000 but, you better act fast as Pioneer is ending that combo model as well. If you still need one later, check eBay or ioffer.
