VHS finally kicks the bucket as the last big distributor has shipped VHS for the last time

The last of the somewhat big distributor of VHS films (DVA) has shipped the beloved (and hated) tape for the last time.  The co-owner of Distribution Video Audio went on the record saying:

"The format is dead, this is it, this is the last Christmas for VHS, without a doubt."

VHS had an amazing run and I'm sure it is a testament to the fact that DVD will also be here for many years.  When a format becomes as main stream as DVD and VHS it takes some time to kill them completely off.
