Joost has shut down its desktop appication to put more focus on its video streaming site

You would think the desktop application by Joost which relied primarily on P2P software would have done really well but, thanks to sites like YouTube and Hulu Joost has began to put all of its focus on its video streaming service.

Joost is looking more to the video streaming side of things and trying to figure out how to do things different and attract more visitors by offering something unique to separate them from the rest.

Its already tried offering free, ad-supported television shows and films, but also went mobile through an iPhone app and it is one of the first video sites to sign on with Facebook Connect.
