Circuit City was in financial ruin last month and rumors started flying around that they were thinking of closing up to 100 hundred stores.  Those rumors have turned out to be true as they officially made the announcement that they have decided to show down 155 stores in the coming months.

Unfortunately for the employees, Circuit City has stated that transferring to a different store is not an option.  The selected stores will close before the end of this year.  If you live near a Circuit City, I'd keep a real close eye on it as they will be having great deals trying to shed excess inventory.
