With the release of new firmware , a whole slew of possibilities opened up for the PS3 and the PSP in the video content category

The PS3 now offers Scene Search, a feature that breaks videos into one, two, or five minute scenes for quicker location of individual parts.  The PS3 also received Adobe Flash 9 support, and DivX Video on Demand support.

The biggest news for the PSP, is its own App Store to download from.  Along with that, you no longer need to update the PSP via a PS3 or through a PC.  You can now download straight to the PSP's Memory Stick.

The PSP's XMB also has taken on a resemblance to the PS3's, with a theme redesign and the addition of the PlayStation Network login icon and the Store Icon.
