The chip is fixed to a DVD with a thin layer of colored glue that would block the DVD player from reading the disc.

When the chip is activated, it will send a electrical wave through the glue, turning it clear and allowing the DVD player to be able to read it properly.

Currently there are only two movie studios that are actually interested in this technology and we could see it improvised by the end of this year.
