Sony Electronics' latest Walkman music players have something the company hopes will take a bite out of Apple's iPod sales.

Noise cancelling technology in the player and headphones can cut ambient sound by up to 75%, Sony promises, states the EE Times. The Walkmans are, moreover, available in multiple colors "including violet and pink".

According to Sony, the new NW-S700F series of Walkman players offer up to 50 hours of battery life and has a 'quick-charge' feature providing up to three-hours of playback after a three-minute charge, says EE Times. More...
