Google Video and MTV Networks announced Aug. 7 they are collaborating to begin later this month offering ad-supported video for consumers and third-party Web publishers.

Initial content would come from MTV, including plot line clips from upcoming third season of “Laguna Beach,” promotional clips for the MTV Video Music Awards Aug. 31 and episodic clips from Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants.” More...
