MPAA Says Piracy $6,000,000,000 Industry

Global bootlegging of movies, illegal copying and Internet piracy etc. all make up piracy
The study found that of the $6.1 billion, $4.8 billion occurred internationally, specifically in China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Poland and Mexico.

About $1.3 billion in piracy — specifically illegal copying and distribution — took place in the United States.

The study described the average copyright thief as male, between the ages of 16 and 24 and living in an urban area. More...
