A new firmware for the PS3 was announced yesterday, version 3.55, that supposedly is just a security update but many believe its meant

A new firmware for the PS3 was announced yesterday, version 3.55, that supposedly is just a security update but many believe its meant to find and restore jailbroken or hacked consoles.

The update is required for those who visit the PlayStation Store or log into the PlayStation Network regularly.

This is just Sony's latest attempt at controlling how people use their console.
