Roku announced today that it is dropping the prices of its line-up of set-top boxes just days before Apple is rumored to showcase its Apple TV box

Roku announced today that it is dropping the prices of its line-up of set-top boxes just days before Apple is rumored to showcase its Apple TV box.

Roku currently sells three models of its digital video player: the basic Roku SD for $59, the mid-range Roku HD for $69, and the Roku XR for $99.99 .

Rumors have it that Apple's new "iTV" box will retail for around $100.
