A mod chip for the PS3 has just emerged allowing game backups, custom firmware, and all sorts of other neat tricks that Sony doesn't want you to be able to do.

The USB modchip would allow the dumping of games onto any storage and play games without the need for the original disc.

The great thing about this hack is that there is nothing to install and you in no way break/void your warranty.
