Sony today brought out what it says is the first HD-capable camcorder to have interchangeable lenses.
The NEX-VG10 can record video at 1080p (in H.264) and has a four-capsule microphone. Since the camcorder has both a microphone input and a headphone output, it will allow for more advanced audio recording.
The Handycam NEX-VG10 uses the same E-mount lenses as the NEX-3 and NEX-5 cameras but was engineered with video capture in mind instead of taking still images.
The NEX-VG10 will ship sometime in September with a $2,000 price tag but, it will include a free copy of Sony Vegas if you pre-order online.
