Game Consoles Could Get 3G Connectivity

A Japanese wireless carrier is in talks with video game device makers about adding 3G network connections to next generation gaming consoles

A Japanese wireless carrier by the name of DoCoMo Inc. is in talks with Nintendo and Sony about adding 3G network connections to its next generation gaming consoles.

Many of the new consoles coming out are Wi-Fi compatible but can't connect to a 3G networks.  3G networks offer more bandwidth for gaming and other multimedia applications.

Nintendo & Sony are rumored to be in talks with DoCoMo on utilizing the 3G technology with their gaming consoles.
