The current reality is that when new content becomes available on XBOX Live, the PSN doesn't get the same content until two days later.

Sony has now decided to start weekly content updates on Tuesdays to better compete against Microsoft's XBOX Live service, which releases new content on Wednesdays.

I predict Microsoft will move theirs to Monday and we will have a never ending battle.  The PSN's first Tuesday update will arrive on May 4.
