Hitachi is working on a new brain operated device that allows users to control their TV and other electronics without the need to wave around zappers or click buttons.

The new brain controlling technology, called Optical Topography, bathes the brain in small amounts of infrared light, allowing changes in blood flow to be mapped.

The user would also have head ware which links to a mapping device via optical cables to help deliver the signals.  Honestly, I don't understand any of this but, I have a while before it comes out to the public.
