If you have an HD web cam and enough bandwith, Skype will be offering 720p high-definition video conference calls in its new Skype for Windows 4.2 Beta.

Besides HD web cams, Skype is also planning to embed Skype software on Panasonic and LG televisions to allow video conferencing on new TVs sometime later this year.

Will there be enough HD web cams to fully utilize this new feature?  The answer is no....not until Skype releases the specs one would need to web cam developers.
