Black Friday is a term for the Friday after Thanksgiving which is pretty much the biggest shopping day of the entire year and unbelievable money saving deals come out

Below are some of the times Black Friday started last year so perhaps they will be the same this year.

  • Newegg.com sale starting at 4:00pm EST (Wednesday)
  • Target Black Friday sale starting at 2:00am - 4:00am EST (Thanksgiving)
  • Walmart Thanksgiving Day Specials starting at 3:00am EST (Thanksgiving)
  • Walmart Black Friday sale starting at 3:00am EST (Black Friday)
  • Sears, OfficeMax, Kohls, JC Penney, and other Black Friday sales will begin on Thanksgiving morning.

Black Friday is here again and as always ads are being leaked early to entice shoppers to spend their hard earned cash with them first

This year, stores are trying something different by offering black Friday prices early but, some stores are only doing it for only one day and for only certain items and some stores are doing it the entire month of November.

Starting today and continuing every Friday through Thanksgiving, Amazon.com will host an early Black Friday sale based around four themes: Connect, Play, Watch, and Listen. Each sale will feature deals and discounts on hot new items such as Blu-ray players, HDTVs, popular video game titles, speaker systems, and more. All deals will be available during a limited time window each Friday, and one featured Deal of the Day will be available the entire day starting at 3:01am Eastern time on Fridays.

Also, retailers are making a big push this year to extend the Black Friday shopping season. This includes offering "early Black Friday sales" throughout the entire month of November to entice consumers to shop early. Some of them are:

  • Target will be running a 4-day sale starting Sunday, November 21st until Wednesday, November 24th where more than 170 products will be discounted as much as 50% off.

  • JCPenney is having multiple one-day sales beginning with the "Biggest Sale of Them All" on November 6th, another one-day sale on November 17th, a "Huge Sale" on November 20th, and a "Day Before Thanksgiving" sale on November 24th.

  • Walmart.com will also be having sales starting in early November which offer discounts of up to 30% off select electronics, toys and housewares.

  • Staples.com plans to offer discounts of up to 50% off items such as laptops, digital cameras and printers beginning on Sunday, November 21st until Wednesday, November 24th.

NewEgg.com decided to jump in and now when you go to their site, your greeted by a special "blackout" intro screen. This dramatic welcome to the site reflects the extraordinary savings, daily deals and events the company will present to its visitors that month.

Here is a current list of stores that have their Black Friday ads already out (Some are pre black friday ads):
