Logitech will soon be shipping the new Harmony IR Extender System which allows users to extend the range of their existing infrared remote controls.  It will even let you control devices that are hidden or out of sight and normal operating range.

The plug and play product passes the signal to connected wired IR blasters and mini blasters that in turn pass on the signal to the system components.  The Logitech Harmony IR Extender System will ship in the US in November, priced at $60
