MTV & Paramount have both seen about a 70% loss in profits due to lack of DVD sales and decline in advertising. Viacom says the current profit results are a direct reflection of todays economic situation.
Paramount is hoping 2009 will change their financial situation with the release of Star Trek, Transformers 2, and the GI Joe movie.
