Advances in "compression technology" now makes it possible for Netflixs Roku set-top box to stream high definition content via a broadband connection.
Roku Inc. said an abundance of third party vendors of HD content will be available by 2009. Currently, there is not a device/service out there that is as convenient and affordable as the Netflix/Roku setup.
