Apple has released version 2.3 firmware for the Apple TV digital media receiver giving it the ability to stream music from the media device to either other Apple TV units or Airport Express speakers.

Apple has also added the ability to use third-party remote controls with Apple TV.  Remember though, upgrading the firmware from Apple will erase any non Apple TV software, hacks, or tweaks.
