Just in time for the holiday season, Target stores are lowering their Blu-ray player prices

This decision has a lot to do with the current economic crisis our country is going through. People are also expected to have a lot less cash in hand this holiday season.

The Olevia BD-110 player will be lowered down to just $299.  The Philips BD-7200 will sale for around $250, which is $100 cheaper than MSRP.

Will the price drop help the Blu-ray market take off from a rather slow rocky start?  I personally don't think so.
