LG made the statement that its new BD300 Network Blu-ray disc player, that is coming in September, will be capable of connecting to the Netflix online movie streaming service free of charge.

The player is also capable of upscaling your existing DVD library to 1080p.  Unfortunately the movies you get from Netflix will play in standard definition.

LG hopes to sell this new player for under $500.
