Toshiba is trying to resurrect the HD-DVD format from the dead by giving it a new name & logo

A possible comeback for Toshiba is in the works as the HD-DVD format is getting a new name & logo.  On June 11 Toshiba approved a new "DVD Download DL logo", implying some sort of web connectivity (HD-DVD all over again).

This redefined format is not really a threat to Blu-ray itself, it just extends the life of the dominating legacy of standard DVD's.
