Blu-ray to Outsell DVD by 2012

The report found that sales of nearly 9 million high-definition discs in 2007 generated more than $260 million in consumer spending. 

This prediction may be correct if the equation contains price reductions of Blu-ray hardware and content, as happened with standard DVD. Standard DVD did not have to compete with things like Netflix or Apple TV though.

Only time will tell...
